Load Rest, or Jack Hook (only) for 1969 Camaro with RPO VE3 "Special Front Bumper".
Commonly referred to as 'Endura' bumper.
Relatively rare RPO - 12,650 factory units, according to CRG (http://www.camaros.org/pdf/options.pdf).
This is an original VE3 load rest hook.
I bought this from a well-known sYc member over 5 years ago. Happy to confirm details with prospective buyer for verification.
It is not perfect - please note the following:
it has some light pitting visible.
it has been repainted in a slightly different shade of blue to the original - in places, the original underlying blue can be seen (refer to photos).
the newer paint has some cracking/checking.
the rivet attaching the unique VE3 section has some damage as shown, from the scrapes in the load contact area, and has loosened - meaning there is movement between the 2 sections.
It may be possible to carefully strip the newer paint to expose the original underneath, and the rivet may be able to be re-peened to retighten it, but I will leave that to the new custodian to consider. You may decide to completely restore it.
This is still a very hard item to find, and a must for a proper restoration of an original VE3-equipped car.
Pictures form part of the item description.
Asking US$750 + shipping + insurance (if required).
Total payable by PayPal F&F please.
I am located in Australia but will work in with the buyer to get the best shipping possible. I will only charge actual shipping costs.
