This Yenko used to belong to Jim Pearse from the Chicago area it is a really good car, I gave him the paperwork for the car because I acquired all the paperwork out of Bob Johnson Chev. Does it bother anyone else on here other than me that questioning (trashing) cars trim tags and engines stamps is so prevalent here?

Each car should stand on its own. This car is NOT being trashed, but will be discussed. Cream will rise to the top. BTW this car is not advertised (linked) on this site therefore not governed by the site sales rules.
I think the majority of car discussions on the site help the hobby and our members. Yes some do get out of hand, but that's a very small percentage.
BTW I like the car ...

From what I have observed here, the authenticity discussions are pretty constructive. Certainly much more civilized and knowledgeable than BaT or Facebook, although the bar is low.

Questioning to substantiate or refute something isn't wrong, trashing is but they're not the same thing.
Lots of truths are brought to light w/ discussions here yet avoided elsewhere, that's not wrong either.
:beers:

Sorry if I’ve offended you by asking a question about the trim tag Mick. The TT looked odd to me and I was just looking for one of the experts to opine on it’s originality. We have a registry we try to keep track of these nuances.

Thanks for the note Bergy. I am not offended and I guess it is just the world we live in today that everyone has to be so careful because there is so many that will take advantage of anyone given the opportunity. In this day of the internet I have seen just a question like this about a trim tag or whatever stay out there in cyberspace and can cause future interested parties to take a pause if they know it was even questioned, even though there was nothing wrong when that question was answered. The trim tag looks good to me and while I don't know Jim Pearse really well what little contact I have had with him I would say he is a stand up guy. Thanks

A buddy of mine has been in the market, and he always check on here for discussion on 1-2 cars he's been looking at. So you folks wield a lot of power, because I think a lot of folks will take any comments from you longtimers with a lot of seriousness.

That’s why I come to this site. I love the cars, my knowledge is low and my memory rating is lower. You guys help more than you know. Keep up the good teachings!
Would like to hear from Kurt or Jonesy on that tag.
I don't have a pic of a known good one from that week.

The tag looks good and has no issues.

I think the tag is OK.
I see things that may be causing others to pause, but I think those are picture 'illusions'. Another picture would show that. :)
