Seems like tall auction type money to me for an NOM. I'd be curious if there are any restoration pics. Being a Michigan car, I'm sure the cowl had to get worked over

Beautiful car for sure!

Just one more case of the "Matching #'s" term being exploited by someone hoping to find uneducated buyers who still think #'s Matching means Original Engine then pleading innocence w/ the never claimed it was THE Original excuse.
Keep in mind this recent ad notes it's Not The Original Engine only because the deception was exposed also seller still being dishonest using sly words to indicate the Engine is from another L79 car instead of admitting it's a built engine w/ recent Restamp.

Bottom line w/ apologies to those here who don't like to admit it but with few exceptions these days;
MATCHING #'s = NON ORIGINAL RESTAMP.

:beers:

Couldn’t agree more. As someone much newer to the hobby than others, I’ve learned that “numbers matching” means restamp all day long and twice on Sunday. It appears some like to still use that term as meaning the born with component but they really shouldn’t, in my opinion, because that was sabotaged long before now.
