Offered for sale, rare Shadow Grey colored LS6, M22, 4.10 for sale. Black interior, bench seat, gauges, cowl hood (early style) and is a 21,689 mile car that was street and strip raced until 1980 where it was retired and put into a sealed storage building owned by the original owner while still maintaining it’s registration and license. In 2004 the owner decided to sell and the car was sold to the current owner after being pulled from it’s long term storage building. In 2005, I was contracted to restore the car back to original using 95% of the original parts and many of the rest being NOS parts that the first owner had collected early on. Well known Chevrolet painter Tom Scholtz performed the bodywork and paint which was a fairly simple task as there were only two small places where rust had started.

The drivetrain is all original and was assembly line installed in this car. When I restored this car the engine, transmission and rear differential were all completely disassembled, machined and rebuilt using only high quality and original parts when I could. The engine was rebuilt to stock specs by Total Engine in Bloomington, MN and produced 472 hp and 480 lbs of torque. The original M22 transmission was restored using GM gears. The 4.10 posi and gears were totally rebuilt as well. All new GM bushings and other suspension components were used throughout the restoration.

Nothing on this car was left unrestored and is the same quality of the rest of our restorations including the smallest of details. The body was near perfect with absolutely no damage and it as well as the frame where set on a jig to insure there was no twisting damage to either from its years of racing. It still retains all of it’s original body panels excluding the hood due to the original being cut for a hood scoop but it is the correct early style hood.

I have over 1000 photos of the original 'back in the day' car, it’s find and the full restoration and will share with a very serious buyer. The car scored 985 points, a Gold Spinner award and Judges Pick at the 2008 VetteFest LS6 Showcase. The car was also featured in the January 2012 issue of Muscle Car Review.

1 buildsheet was given to the owner when the car was purchased and 2 more were found during the restoration. All are real and in excellent condition. The car comes with show signage, buildsheets, plaques and all original license plates. This nearly perfect 2 owner LS6 is being offered for $215,000. Not sure. I also restored this one which was a bucket seat car and no stripe car around the same time.

Car has been sold to the first person who inquired about it. Going to a great collection in the south. Was a pleasure working with all involved. Thank you sYc for the opportunity to place the ad here.
