View Full Version : Good looking 67 Chevy P/U
This will be interesting.
You see so many 67 - 72 trucks for sale with really high (IMHO) asking prices.
This one is no reserve. Definitely deserves a close look.

----New Baltimore, MI. is about 15 minutes from me. I think I saw this truck at at least one local Saturday style show this summer. Appears pretty nice. Some correct seat covers would certainly spark up the interior. Wish it had a bit bigger (327) engine! I keep looking at the parking brake handle (if that's what it is). Is that correct?.....Bill S

Yes - park brake handle looks correct.
Wish it was a short box....

But you can't get a full sheet of plywood (or sheetrock) in the short box and still shut the tail gate.

The 283 was the biggest engine offered in '67. The 327 4bbbl and 396 were added for '68. I've got the 327 in my '68 short bed. I just picked up a sheet of plywood at Home Depot over the weekend and left the tailgate up so the end was hanging over (not by a lot). Couldn't do that with sheet rock though.

Been driving shortbox pickups as daily drivers and parts chasers since 1969.
It occurred to me the other day: between the truck and the open car trailer I have never gone after something that I couldn't get home.

I was high bidder for about 6 hours last night...
Unless it is a bondo bucket (and it doesn't look like it in pictures... which can be deceiving) if this one settles in around $10k even up to $12k, it may be a bargain. Tried finding a presentable one lately.
BTW, I do not know the seller and have no skin in the game.

Thinking it will be at least 12k.

If anybody needs someone to put eyes on it let me know, it is local to me.
I think Mitch is probably correct. Will end up close to 12k.
Other than needing a seat cover, looks pretty good.
$9600 with two days to go.

Even at 12k, it appears it could be one of the best deals on a '67-72 era truck in a long time.
Wish I could go that high, but we have "invested" that much in our property in just the last 2 months, so no spare change to be purchasing another vehicle.
I just bought the 2016 CR-V last Feb too.
If I had sold my '54 2dr sedan at the swap meet a couple weeks ago, it might be a different story.

Looks like Mitch was right on with the price.

I was sitting here, watching the last 4 minutes count down, ready to hit the bid again at 12k, but my conscience (wife) said NO !!! you have other important things that need those funds. DAMN, I would have bought it for 12k any day.
Johnny: "i got a new truck for my wife."
Johnny's friend: "Nice Trade."
NOT suggesting anything!!
Your post just reminded me of that joke.

I know, I think of that joke all the time.
I SHOULD have kept my '70 SS 454 Chevelle, as we got divorced 3 years after I sold it to please her and her family. I DID manage to find trouble a few times with the car though...
My current wife has been VERY patient with me and my car addiction, so I do take that into account.
