Nice looking car that looks pretty well preserved, yet has a non-original '68 327. I suppose it could have been someone's weekend warrior that grenaded the original block early in its life and spent most of its time sitting in the garage.

I used to see these 327/4-sp/12-bolt early Malibus fairly often, but they come up for sale pretty infrequently these days. Cool car.

The year that the famous L79 327 option skipped a year (for whatever reason!) in Chevelle history. What a shame . . .

Appears to be a very nice car but, MAN, all those sideways pics are annoying to look at.

Skipped a year in Chevelle because GM was debuting its 66 SS Chevelle, with the 396 engine rated at 325hp. Could not very well have a 66 Chevelle L-79 with a similar or same horsepower rating competing with the debut of the BB in a Chevelle so….
