Not a lot of '69 Chevelles out there with a build sheet, window sticker, dealer invoice, etc. Very interesting to see 'Gauges' misspelled on the build sheet....

While some may say the stance is too high, I like it, as wel as the yellow!

Is it just me or do the broachmarks look manufactured?

They sure seem heavy. Deep enough to hold paint….curious what others think. Neat car if it all checks out

Thought the picture wasn’t good enough to make a call on the broach marks, but I also found them a little unconventional looking.
Has anyone else seen “gauges” misspelled on a build sheet?

1969 Framingham build sheets are scarce and if found, most of the time it will only be the left 1/3 of the sheet. U14 will not be on that side, so not many to compare to. The misspelling is definitely suspect as are the broach marks but I can’t say for sure without further investigation.

I found one in the archives, full sheet with U14 option. Same factory error

Where are we looking for the misspelling? I looked at all the info and couldn't see it...
Maybe you were thinking gages?

It’s spelled gauge, not guage.

Really nice car and I love the docs. I'm OK with the pad and would think it's all original myself. I recall seeing heavy broach marks before although maybe not that pronounced? I really like the car, but it does need the ride height corrected, and the emblems added to the fenders as stated above. I wonder where the money will end on this one.

Some days you can't see the forest for the trees!!! LOL
I looked at that 2-3 times and said to myself, Why do these guys think it should be spelled gage???
Nothing wrong with me eyes, just the computation...

----For want of a better word, a broachers "teeth" become worn over a period of time and tend to make these type of marks. The worn pieces would be replaced probably on somewhat of a regular interval.....Bill S
Anyone know who restored it with verification?

Yeah, I noticed Taylor Chevrolet on the build sheet and window sticker. I used to get parts there back in the day. They did have some muscle come out of there.

The Taylor L78 Pace Cars came from Flemington, NJ (zone 15-665). Close to the track they were used as pace cars.
