Posting this tonite since I'll be on the road tomorrow...

Tomorrow is December 7th...the 80th anniversary of the Japanese attack on Pearl Harbor. Countless books and movies have been written and produced about that fateful day...few survivors remain...estimates place it at less than 100.

As you go about your day...take a moment and remember those brave sailors, soldiers, marines and civilians, who paid the ultimate price. Their sacrifice is part of the fabric of our nation and their memory should always be honored.

Here are a few links with information.

Thanks, Tom, for always reminding us of these important dates that seem to be all but forgotten by far too many Americans. And it wasn't even that long ago....

Went there a couple of years ago and really changed my perspective. I highly recommend it.
God Bless our troops!

My Dad was there on the West Virginia. I can't imagine what it was like at 18 years old to go through that. Still remember the stories of that day. RIP Dad. I sure do miss you.

I watched a program last night on PBS about one of the sailors from the USS Arizona who survived the attack, and wished to be interred with his fellow shipmates after his passing. Very interesting and moving.

They discussed this on my tour last year. It is a moving feeling when your standing over that USS AZ.

The Memorial is moving, it's amazing to see the shadow of that ship.
