Pretty interesting car, evidently been a race car since Day 1. Ordered with 4.88, M22, and no radio or heater.

I dig it. I saw it come up on FB a think a month ago but there were no restored pics.

Did that color become Butternut Yellow in '68? Is this color Capri cream yellow or antique white in person?

Good question - I think Capri Cream might be similar to Palomino Ivory in '68. This is the same color combo as my '68 Z/28 was originally.

Ha! Look how the grease pencil’d “M21” morphed into “M22” on the firewall pics!

Oh yea nice ride, different color combo for sure. I’d like to see a close up of the TT.

Could you get a m22 in a 67 L7 camaro? I think not.

Butternut Yellow is definitely more yellow than Capri Cream. A guy in our local Camaro club has a Capri Cream '67 and it's very light next to a butternut car.

Why would that be ? The M22 was available in the Chevelles in '66 and '67. Why would it not be available in a Camaro ?

Judging by my doors that still has some original paint, I would say it looks like Antique White. The contrast with a white top should look good one day!

You have a 68 that could have the same stance?!

It wasn’t available as an option in Camaro until 1968.

That seems odd, that GM would not allow it in the Camaro with the L78 option.

I’ve asked for a close up pic of the TT? Can anyone else make it out?
M22 not available in 67 Camaro that I know of.

I’m really not feeling that $170,000 price.

From Colvin's "by the numbers" book on 65-69 models (page 282) speaking specifically to the M22 in 67 MY:

"Although the M22 was available on the Passenger, Chevelle, and Corvette, Chevrolet accumulative production reports show that no Passenger or Chevelle models were produced. Only 20 L88 427/430 HP Corvettes were produced with the M22."

I realize some new info may have been uncovered since the book came out, but that quote would indicate it was not even available in a Camaro. Would also indicate no Chevelle was built with an M22, even though it was available.

I am with you. Maybe if it were a Jenkins car or something like that. NOM; and 22 miles means nothing to me given that the speedo was unhooked at some point. Besides, does it matter how many miles on a restored car?

Don't want to start trashing the car. Very cool for what it is.

THAT I will question. I thought there were documented '66 and 67 Chevelles with M22's...:hmmm:

there are a number of items that are incorrect just under the hood of that car. Not picking at it but for that price it should be right

I agree I like this car a lot but the devils in the details, locks on all exhaust ports are wrong, air cleaner is for a 68 because it has the dent for the smog pump and why with all the deletes would they have ordered horse power robbing power steering, trans crossmember looks gray, get those darn notched belts off of it. All easy fixes, but at the asking price they get in the way on a car this cool.

Shouldn't have the ground straps on the firewall if it came without a radio. Also, shouldn't have the rubber between the gas tank straps. It's a tough thing to make a cowl plenum air cleaner fit and line up correctly on a big block car as Doug Perry can attest with YS760 so kudos for that. Brooks Chevrolet also got a 4.88 gear, no radio/no heater '67 Z-28 which they drag raced. It was at MCACN a few years back in the barn finds section.

The lettering on the tag itself looks fairly original, but the info stamping looks very poor quality. The W on the fourth line is barely readable, as is the 4 below it. Can an original tag be pressed flat and restamped ? That's almost what it seems like ?

The font is way different than my LOS car but NOR could've used different font since the machine stamping the tags would've been different

Mine is a LOS also, and maybe that is why the stamping looks so different. I have looked at NOR stamped tags too, though and this just looks "sloppy", I guess.

Yeah, Richard, that lettering is far more crisp and defined than the "other" tag.
This my LOS tag, again, very crisp stamping.

i do have 1 question! for a while now i have a on looker here at the cars for sale & i'm curious where the prices come from...on what basis..what history. these cars are really getting out of hand...i'm not picking on this car as it is a very nice restoration. but seriously. we all know that to perform a complete restoration is expensive..my opinion & just my opinion this is out of hand..what concerns me is if someone with tons on disposable income buys these cars is damaging to the hobby..just my opinion!!!

Tag appears real although would like a better photo to comfirm. Also you cant compare a LOS to a NOR tag.

Ok here is my view. 1-Should have left it a drag car. 2-I do not believe the tag is real IMHO. 3-$170k no highly doubt it. 4-Nice car but several items wrong. now of course easy to knit pick but nowadays I really try to look past these things because they were never perfect but are well over restored nowadays.

I’m going to change up on this TT on the 4K. After PMing others about it we agree it’s excess paint build up on the tag making the characters look puffy.
My bad, sorry.
