This car was in Clarksville TN in the early 80's.Console auto and had Tru Spoke rims. I had seen it in Hot Rod magazine in the readers rides section, then a few months later I saw it in person. Probably between 1982-1986.

Does anybody have a Hot Rod magazine collection from those years that they can look through? Or is anybody here friends with Chuck Hanson? I'm sure he would know of the car.

I will never forget when I saw that car. I was riding with my evil bitch stepmother an I told her "You have to stop right now" She did.

...and she let you out ...and then drove off without you, I bet. :-)

I sent Chuck a text and he said doesn't remember the car Jimmy. Hope you end up tracking it down, I'd love to hear more about it.

I believe it appeared in Muscle Cars magazine in the late 1980s, but could be wrong. For sure I remember a triple white car. I remember a guy who was like a manager for some Country artists, and he had a large Chevy collection, but I can't say for sure he was the owner at the time I saw it in print--could be conflating two articles.

I believe that was CK Spurlock? He had a lot of rare muscle cars back in the 80's but I don't remember him having a white LS6 convertible. I pitched all my Hot Rod magazines years ago when they tried making me take it the first time MCR went under but I still have every issue of Muscle Cars. I'll try looking through them over weekend and see if I can find anything.

I'm PMing you a contact from Clarksville. I've purchased Chevelle parts from him many years ago. Not sure if the number is good or if he is even still around. He was from Clarksville and was a Chevelle guy. If it was there he should know about it.
Also PGN is from Clarksville. I would think he should have knowledge of this car as well. He and his brothers are all Chevelle guys.

That's the guy!

And you're prob right it wasn't him.

And now I'm wondering if it was Muscle Cars? I remember they had a red one. I don't think the white one was in a popular magazine, so if not Muscle Cars, something else, somewhat unexpected.

No way for me to go through my collection at the moment, but I'd bet the one in the Suydam collection is it.

have you asked Larry Richardson hes from ClarksvilleI'm sure that if anyone remembered the car,it would have been found already. Maybe I'm the only one.But I do know for a fact that I saw it in Hot Rod,that's why I had to go see it in person when I saw it for real.

So this is bugging me, but I decided that I am incorrect with the title of the magazine in which it appeared.

I think it was this magazine, sometime in the early 1990s:

This website is nice. Here's something more focused on the kinds of cars we focus here:
