Seen this for sale on Facebook today and was wondering if this stamp looks OK. It looks a little funny to me but I am by no means an expert. Thanks.

I’m going to say yes real but the pad surface has been heavy scratched

The stamp looks ok...rough pad, but the 350hp engine is not a typical candidate for a re-stamp...especially in a Nova. That said, the L-34 Nova is kind of rare...there are lots of L-78 cars around...but you rarely see an L-34 car. In the three years the big block was an RPO in the Nova...there were a lot more L-78 cars produced.
For the hot-rodder who wanted big block power without having to adjust the valves...it was a good choice.

Hope to see some photos of this car real soon. Looks like an early car by the assembly date.

Could that possibly be an engine that went through the heavy repair process where the pad was ground at the factory?
I like the characters, but agree......there was some serious activity

I think Tim hit it, this has characteristic of a factory grind and stamp.

It looks like you can see another partial assembly stamp above it right along the head. It looks like you can see the top part of the 9 and the TX.

Agree, looks like the stamping may not have been good initially, and redone.
