I’m going through some of my vintage 60’s Performance Magazines that mostly pertain to the GTO’s.
This Oct. 1966 test article shows the optional equipment (YR 360 HP engine, ST300 trans, 3.23 gears) in this GTO that was manufactured with the vacuum linkage.
There are a few differences from the test car as my “YR” was optioned with the #614 (California air cleaners and related hoses), plus mine has 3.55 gears.
Another difference is the fuel line going around the back of the front air cleaner over to the fuel filter.
Test car has a rubber fuel line (Midwest build), my car has a steel fuel line (Fremont build).
The Black & White engine photos from the magazines are followed by my B/W photos of the same.
This particular ‘66 test car has Blue competition stripes hastily applied that look terrible 😞.
