Hello! I recently picked up a nice set of 4” skinny cragars for my 67 z28 for a little change on the look of the car. Little did I know, they hit the brake calipers. Without messing with the car, has anyone had success with spacers ? I’m sure this has been ran into a lot with the big disk Brakes on the early Camaros and these wheels.
I appreciate any help

Yes, use a spacer but use a longer lug nut that goes thru wheel and spacer. I forget but i think the spacer is around 3/8 or 7/16.

I've had to make a few spacers for my car when changing wheels. How much do you need to clear the caliper? You can use washers to figure out how thick the spacer needs to be.

Matt, search back here on the site. This has been discussed a few different times. It’s not that much work you just have to do some proper measurements.

I had the same problem on my 67 L78 Camaro. Had to use a big spacer & I wasn't happy with thread engagement using stock studs. Sold the Cragers! They did look cool though :-)

I texted Matt already about the subject. For any other members that are interested, I am doing the same thing on the HM 68 I got back (another set of wheels and tires). I think I have found the right combination of spacer and lug nuts. I'll update when I know more.

You can see I did the same thing on my 67. I have a 3/8" spacer. Combine that with longer wheel studs and mystery solved. All the bite you could ever want from your lug nuts. I had direct 5 on 4-3/4 spacers made by a machinist, you can find generic ones at auto parts stores and online but they just didn't sit right with me...

I bought these to run Cragars on a 67-68 with the 4-piston front discs. Nice quality. I'm pretty sure these came with only a single bolt pattern, not the dual bolt pattern as shown in the picture below:

Those look nice Tony, much better than universals I found.... They look just like the ones I had made other than the extra holes.
