I have a 29297 Smog Diverter Valve for my October 14th built L78 70 Chevelle.
My question is would the valve had an "Ink Stamp" or a "Decal". (GH)
My guess would be the "Ink Stamp" based on its build date but I am not 100% sure of the change over date to the "Decal".
Looking for clarity and I appreciate everyone's help in advance.

My 1969 ss396 Camaro, built Aug 28th, 1969 had a sticker...Joe
An October 14th of 1969 L-78 1970 Chevelle would've had a GH ink stamp Joe,unquestionably.

This is my original pump & diverter valve before restoration. I restored it back to how it was original. It had a sticker....Joe

Humm….. Interesting. Wonder if it varied from plant to plant or by make and model?

I did mine as I found it. Car had low mileage in 1981 & I didn't have to find any parts for my smog system. It was all there. I did a post on CRG to see what they know....Joe

The best I could suggest for your car is to find a known original from the same plant as your, built at approx the same time as yours. Maybe that plant had lots of inventory & they were stamped. By Aug 1969 Norwood didn't realize they had to build more 1969 Camaros & their inventory could've been different. Just thoughts. What was correct on mine doesn't mean it would be correct on yours. Research is one of the big things of doing these cars.....Joe
