Consigned to Bring a Trailer....

1964 356C, California car from new to 2021. I am the third owner. Outstanding no-hit body and highly original. Has Kardex and documentation establishing original engine and trans. All case pairing numbers match. One partial repaint in 1990 before it was put into storage until 2021. I got this from the estate via the prior owner's nephew, who told me his uncle had it touched up for scratches and road rash, plus took the glass out to replace the deteriorated window seals in 1990. So, it was the opposite of a typical muscle car repaint in that the top was the area repainted and not the bottom. I believe this to be true because the lacquer checking and cracking on the low edges matches the dashboard totally. I do not think it ever had rust. I have 50 pictures of a magnet sticking to this car everywhere, which is remarkable if you know old Porsches.

It has been recommissioned to be a reliable driver between mid 2021-now, and I have personally put almost 500 miles on it sorting it all through. Extensive list of recent service can be provided on request. It is not a show car. It is the foundation for a future show quality 356C. Ownership back to new, every major number matches the Kardex, engine never out of the car, and awesome color scheme.

I have 7 toys, need to cull something. Had my fun, this is the right 356 for any person that's been wanting a 356.

Had to add some pictures of the hood fit. Hard to find one with gaps like this one:

Thanks Tim!

Black plates, pink slip, lots of patina, etc. It just needs to find the right buyer who covets original cars like we do.

We have Jeremy Cliff coming out to shoot it Monday if it does not sell in the next few days.

Some more pics.

I have scoped this car extensively, and the only spot I could find any rust at all was under the battery where 100% of these have rust. I did a very sympathetic section repair with all metal and texture-matched the factory undercoat. The rest of the floor seems perfect. I had the seats out because I had to remove the entire shift linkage to replace the originals, and I couldn't find anything questionable.

I took these pics last night. I had to move things around and this is the first time I got to park the 356 next to the 1963 my partner and I just got. 1963 Corvette 300 car, 13K original miles, saddle leather interior, real KO wheels (though obviously not factory installed).

Cool to see the state of the art at that time, from opposite sides of the planet.

We have pro photos on Monday AM, so unless someone decides to pull the trigger this weekend, it's going to BaT and won't be available outright. The reserve is less than the ask here, and I expect it's going to do really well because BaT hasn't listed one this nice in awhile.
