Ha! There was a whole lotta difference between the 390 hp & 425 hp than just a “special cam”!

Bill S. was reproducing posters of this ad and the "just starting it makes your stomach muscles tight" L-72 poster ad back in the 80's. They are both great.

I have a shirt version of that add, but it is worn out now.

----Can't remember but you may have bought that shirt from Jan and I! I went thru GM Legal to secure the ability to do the posters and I think, the T's....Bill S

Bill, here's the shirt. It's still got some life left in it, though. I thought I bought it at Bloomington, but I can't remember for sure.

I will wear it this weekend as I drive my '67 427 to a show at Ski Shores restaurant just down the road from us.

Love this poster! I've had "Flight 427" hanging on my shop wall for decades. My '66 427 is undergoing her resto now. I'm very happy that she's an earlier '66 model built December 1st, 1965. Her M21 close ratio shifter mounts directly to the transmission tailshaft housing. Later shifters that year were mounted to a bracket on the frame.

There's nothing I enjoy more than the feel of the engine vibration in my hand as I'm bangin' gears down the road! My '65 327 has that same feel. What a rush!

Check out this original shift pattern plate for all '63-'67 4-speed Vettes. Just grabbed this one on-line. Might just find it's way onto my '66 shift console!

Thanks Bill S. I too had one of those tee shirts till I wore it out!

Cheers, Mike
