Talk about an underwhelming description, but the equipment on this one suggest it was at least an original V8/4-speed car. Love the dashtop clock!

Minimalist description is right. I sent a message asking what trans it has. We'll see if I get anything of value back. Not my colors, but if he doesn't value it very highly, it may sell reasonably.

Got a reply from the seller. With no pics or case numbers, we are taking his word for it that it is actually a Muncie, but it's a start.

It has a 4 speed Muncie with a Hurst Shifter

I had to look up California, MO. Surprised I didn't recall see it, as I have been across US 50 a few times from KC to Rolla MO in the Pete. I do know where Mexico, MO is, as I went thru there a number of times with 42,000 lb loads of dog food out of Rolla going to South St. Paul.
IF I were to get serious about this, I would drive down and inspect in person. Only a 7 hour drive. Leave at 2 am and be home by 6pm.
