Kind of a cool beater-esque '68 with old diamond-tuck upholstery and what's claimed to be the original side exhaust. Looks like a 300hp tach with a 5300rpm redline....
Neat if the original colors were in fact black on saddle.
Always a good sign to see an air cleaner with no fastener holding it on....

----Side exhaust on C3's didn't come until the middle of 69. I had one ordered with SE and it kept being pushed back. Finally found a gold/black gut 435 coupe at Ed Stinn's in Cleveland Ohio and bought it without side exhaust. After driving it back to Athens Ohio to Ohio U it started making noises. Took it to the local Chevy dealer and found it had a frozen wrist pin that forced a piston sideways in the bore. The dealer said "we can fix it or we can replace the shortblock (at that point 800 miles). I opted for the new shortblock. A two week old Corvette with a non-original shortblock!.....Bill S

Wow!!
----Oh, Bruce! I excelled back then at making original cars non-original cars! I don't think I was alone. In Ohio where i spent half my younger years I don't think I ever saw an unmodified muscle car except on the dealer floor.....Bill S
