Can anybody comment on what the BEST replacement Trunk Floor is out there for a 1969 Firebird/Camaro...
From what I remember in the past there may be several manufacturers of this part...At least one of which did not have very accurate ribs in the floor.
I would greatly appreciate any comments as to the best part out there today...

The easiest 'tell' is the locating dimples for the spare tire hold-down strap. The repro floor doesn't have them. Also, the area around the plugs is different.
Perhaps Joe will explain how he replaced his trunk floor.

LOL, Very funny William.
I did it the hard way & removed the trunk floor from a rear clip of another car. That took 2 people almost 80 hours each without removing quarter panels...Joe

Now that is dedication!
Would be about $12,000 labor in many resto shops.

It was important. There was no other off shore sheet metal on the car. I wasn't going to start then....Joe

Not really sure how many variations are out there. The partial trunk pans are the flimsiest. Consider using complete trunk pan with shock towers, as that is a better donor. The last 69 TA trunk pan I did we had to find another 6 cylinder exhaust bracket to add to trunk pan as original was too rusty and not included with repo. Added the dimples with a pointed slide sledge hammer.

If it is the same as a Camaro, the AMD is a nice piece. I put one in my '67. Other than the dimples, it did compare very well to, what was left of, the original floor stamping.
