The Apollo 11 moon landing happened 53 years ago today...hard to believe a half a century has passed since Neil Armstrong first stepped on the moon.

It was an event that brought the World together. We need more of that. One of the few times in the past that I remember where I was and who I was with to watch it.

Remember very well watching with my family. 2 months shy of 10 years old. That was awesome.

We had a belated High School graduation party for me on July 20th. My family and I had a roped off section in the Lounge of Grossingers Hotel where I was living and working as my mom was VP of Sales.

They had set up a 19" TV so we could all watch it. I was 18. My uncle was an engineer and he talked during the whole thing. LOL. THAT I distinctly remember.
