Wow, looks familiar but I can’t place it. Has the right stuff…at least the obvious signs.

You mean COPPO Chevelle. :-)
Love the unrestored underside of the trunk lid. Brings back memories of what was very typical back in the day.

Interesting discussion about the originality of this car. Any thoughts on whether the trim tag appears to be an original COPO TT? I know there was a thread about COPO Chevelle trim tags, but I cannot find it.

Looked at it today and heard it run. Motor sounded like it had a couple of wires off or valve lash too tight. Had to rev it to keep it running. Body work was on a scale of 1-10 was a 5. Pot metal was pitted. Car needs TLC.

A 5 on a scale of 1-10? That’s an F in school. Was it that bad?

In my mind, a 5 on a scale of 1-10 is a 'C' in school :hmmm:

You could see where the bodywork was from sand scratches sinking in all over the car. Where the belt molding on the vinyl top was it appeared to be bodywork done like rust repair that was fixed without taking the molding off. I’ve been a body man my whole life so I’m probably more critical than your average person. There’s a lot of aftermarket parts in the engine bay. Wrong bolts and screws. The owner is looking to get $150K. I know it’s a rare car but what is a COPO worth in number 1 condition with born with drive train? I believe it’s not the original engine and transmission.
