Looks like an honest car. I would not put it in the "survivor" category but still pretty cool.

Unfortunately that term “Survivor” will always be abused.
Plain and Simple, as one person “David Burroughs” calls out ….. if it’s been repainted ….. then it’s not a Survivor …… Period!
Plus, the above ‘69 in question falls under this ….. “Simply refinishing (or repainting) is equivalent to restoration in terms of irreversibility.

Rear axle dated 80 days prior to final assembly? Seems to be a stretch.

car was on craigs list Sacramento back in may i do believe...sold for 90k...if it is that same car dent on passenger door and passenger quarter replaced back in the 70's due to side swip was also showing rust in front fenders, and passenger 1/4

Yup. As I have often witnessed, usually the last drive-line item to go into a car's build, and normally dated days to maybe a week prior to a car's delivery date is it not William?
I don't think I have ever seen a diff from a given car dated earlier than the car's motor or transmission. It's usually later.

The Dec VN Z/28s in my db have 1116, 1204, 1207 axles. 930 axles are seen in late October builds.
