A recent thread that tom406 did prompted me to dig in my files on Station Wagons.
I Forgot about this guy. If I recall it was on eBay many years ago and the text said something about it being a special order car …. I guess so.
I was able to capture the crappy photos from that auction.

1965 Bonneville Safari (station wagon).
This Pontiac looks to be a two tone paint car with lower body Cameo Ivory and upper body Starlight Black with Red interior.
This must have been a handsome long top when new.

The options I see on the outside.
1) Chrome luggage carrier, code 571.
2) Ventshades, dealer installed.
3) Back up lamps, code 471.
4) Electric power antenna, code 391.
5) Custom exterior trim, code 464.
6) Full tint glass, all windows, (air conditioning).
7) Door edge guards, code 512.
8) Outside rear view mirror, code 602.

The options inside.
1) Automatic temperature control air conditioning, code 581.
2) Electro-cruise system, code 514.
3) Safeguard speedometer & fuel warning lamp, code 634.
4) Power seat LH, code 564.
5) Power window lifts, code 551.
6) Power operated vent windows, code 552.
7) Tilt steering wheel (7 positions), code 454.
8) AM-FM radio, code 394.
9) Electric clock, code 604.
10) Custom front seat belts w/retractor, code 624.
11) Vacuum gauge, dealer installed.
12) Bucket seats and console.

Almost done.

The engine bay.
1) Tri-Power with the Rare Vacuum linkage.
2) Electro-cruise control unit.
3) Power brakes, code 502.
4) Power steering, code 501.
5) Windshield washer and dual speed wiper, code 421.
6) Air condition unit.
7) Underhood utility lamp, code 404.
8) Large cooling fan with notched blades (one year only ‘65). This fan would be used with factory air conditioning or with performance rear end gears.

About this engine, the Big Pontiacs, such as this ‘65 Bonneville would have had the 421 badging on the front fenders, console and finger guard under the hood.
I’m not sure why they are not shown on this car.

I’m sure there are more options on this unique Pontiac, but that’s all I could see.

----Pretty much only missing 8-lugs. What a great wagon. Wonder where it is today. Would it not have had a full-size single air cleaner from the factory? Thanks, Chris!.....Bill S

Hi Bill,

The 8-lugs would have been the icing on the cake.

The ‘65 factory catalog showing Pontiac optional engines, it seems you could order up the Big 421HO/376 with the 3 single air cleaners.
Couple that engine with the 3 speed Turbo Hydra-Magic and fasten the seat belts.

----Another question, Chris. Would the421HO engine be available with AC? I know my 64 GP 421HO4-speed wasn't, and it also came with a full air-cleaner (I know, different year, but).....Bill S

Good morning Bill,

Unfortunately I don’t have enough information on this particular ‘65 wagon.
From the looks of all the options on this car someone was very deliberate when ordering it. Maybe a Pontiac executive initially ordered it, who knows.

Read the red outlined section which says build your own, it’s fun.
Plus I haven’t been able to find anything stating (not available with air conditioning).
