Auction placement here is a major factor in the final price of this one.
Its good to play king maker.

Are there more photos than the one that was on display from BITD
I hope this is ok to discuss now that it’s sold.

Congrats to buyer and Seller. That is one bad a$$ Super Car. Does anyone have a copy of the letter from Bill Mitchel to post. Just curious and would like to see it.

Does anyone know if the car originally had bumper guards? I'd assume so but it also looks like it has additional guards.?. Here's the photo from the other thread. Why were they removed and not reinstalled? Just curious. Incredibly cool car and I'd be proud to own it. Just wondering about the full history. One more; Does any know the timeframe of the photo?

If I remember correctly, Dana Mecum bought Lud's Camaro at the MCACN show. Both Joel Rosen & I were there. That was an unusual sale as the seller was the original owner, and lots of paperwork, documentation, pictures when it was brand new racing ( and winning) at Englishtown.

I remember speaking to the original owner as well great guy. I could be mistaken but thought Wayne S bought the car from orig owner at the show.

Actually I put Lud and Wayne S together at the show and Wayne bought it from Lud. Lud lives about 140 miles from me and about a month later Lud comes to my house and gives me a leather jacket as a thankyou.

My bad, I thought it was Dana who bought Lud's car. Must've had a Senior Moment!!

Regarding Lud's '68 Camaro that changed hands at MCACN, I may not have had a Senior Moment. Word comes to me from a Forum member, owner of a real L88 Baldwin-Motion Camaro, that Dana Mecum did buy Lud's Camaro, and sold it to Wayne S. At least I got part of it right!!

I can assure you Nr Hassett is wrong. I put Lud and Wayne together. Feel free to ask Wayne or Lud.

I finally contacted Wayne S who purchased Lud's bronze L88 B-M Camaro at the MCACN Show and he confirmed that he purchased it directly from Lud after being introduced to him by Charlie Lillard. I was wrong, Dana Mecum was not involved, Mea Culpa, Marty

That might not be bumper guards in that photo. That may be some sort of bumper tow bar set up. The story on the car said that the owner towed it behind his RV.

Hadn't heard that part of the story. Thank you. Still doesn't explain why pulling the factory style guards off. Interesting car for sure.

What a difference those Goodyear Polyglas tires make !!! while I eye balled this car tough this past summer at the Camaro Nats, No Doubt it was an epic piece of Camaro history with all the Cool period parts you would want ,but the generic RWL tires and the stance just killed the vibe on this Car to me. But Wow !!! just that simple change since took this car to a whole nother level.
