1962 Pontiac Catalina 2 Door Sedan ...not the “new for 62”hardtop. Purchased car (already restored/modified) in Carlisle swap meet...mid 80s, bought it with a 389 tri-power/4 speed but originally a 4bbl car. Currently...the original 389 bored and stroked to 455 cubes by R&L Engines in Dover NH...new Edelbrock aluminum heads...65 tri-power intake and correct restored carbs. (65 intake was necessary to fit the new heads). New (reproduction ) cast iron, long branch exhaust manifolds...were basically cast iron headers used by Pontiac back in the day...dual exhaust with electric cutouts for 62 Catalina. “62" borg Warner 4 speed...new Centerforce clutch and 4:56 safety track rear-end 9.3” very nice Original factory inter but No tinted glass. 14" 8 lug wheels/ Aluminum brake drum. (The rear wheels were modified/fabricated to 15" and are running real cheater slicks) manual brakes Car probably has 100 miles since work was done 6-7 years ago Underside of this car is incredibly clean. Paint done back in the 80s but very nice (detailed by Danny Bowdoin). Runs very strong...needs nothing.
First offering since 1980’s at $65,000 firm please. Located in Maine!

Interesting fuel line routing on those carbs.
Never realized the older Pontiac Tri Powers were different than the later GTOs.
R&L does great work. You sure went to the right place.
I had Leo do the machine work on both the L71 in the Corvette and the DZ in the Z28.

61-64 intakes use a diff water Xover location than 65 and later.61-65 can share the same carbs,66 used a larger center carb.FWIW,Tom

Yes- Brentwood.
Do you ever make it down to NED?
I'm an SFI Tech Inspector over there.
If you see something healthy parked next to the Tech Shack, please introduce yourself.
Love your shop. Bet you would love mine too.

Got to see this car first hand. Looks just like what you see in the pictures, it's very nice. I didn't spend a lot of time looking at it but the price seem very reasonable. Good luck with the sale Dean!
