Sure, it has rust, but what a neat car - a '60 hardtop Bel Air with a W-motor and 4-speed trans. The hardtop roofline looks so sharp with the Bel Air trim - same reason I prefer the '61 Bel Air hardtop to the Impala.

Wish we had Verne Frantz to pick this one apart....

My H.S. buddy had a '61 BelAir bubble top, 283/220 three on the tree. Always loved the simplicity of their styling, no mater the year. - Bill W

Just noticed the trunk emblem, this one may well have been born a 283.

Not many years of Chevy cars I can't warm up to. Just don't care much for 58-60.
Not sure why. Nothing butt ugly about them; just not my cup of tea. Still, hard to believe it has no bids at $12k start.

I am sure there is a decent market. There's an a$$ for every seat, right.

Would it have had crossed flags along with the 'V' on the trunk if it had been an original 348 car Bill?

Yes Bill, crossed flags above the V on the front or rear of any big Chevy '58-'61 designates 348.

This car is right here in my town if anyone wants me to look at it.
I have never seen it on the street up here
