View Full Version : visitor message from "binted"
Just received this PM from a "visitor". Didn't even know that was possible.
" want to share with you the great sonic exe playing experience! Enjoy the new fun while playing it."
Name was "binted".
I am obviously not clicking on the link.

Well aren't you special...I didn't get one of those....
Having an exe is a dead giveaway of an attempt to download a malicious program on your computer.
Have you contacted Steve to delete the account ?

I heard Steve is busy at the moment removing a virus from his computer
I was in a hurry so just posted here on the Scammers/Fraudsters forum.

Binted registered yesterday. Unfortunately fraudster registrations are always going to be an ongoing problem. Once identified they are banned as well as their IP address.
1)Beware of members who recently registered.
2)Ask them technical questions. If their answers are vague or incorrect run. Most of these fraudsters are not musclecar enthusiasts.
3)Please notify me immediately if you are pm'd on a wanted ad by a suspicious member. I will investigate and take action so other members are not scammed!
Binted has been permanently banned

Thanks for posting this. See my post below outlining the appropriate steps to prevent being taken advantage.
Fyi you can only receive a PM from registered members. Binted just joined 8/6/23
Thanks Steve. What is weird is that it showed up in a folder I didn't even know I had entitled "visitors messages" or something like that. After reporting it this morning, I could not find it. Still can't.
