You got that right. Restamp engine pad. No original drivetrain left.
Cobbled together clone.
Who knows what it original left the factory as :dunno:

Seller claims to be an NCRS judge... said he tried to make the car look as original as possible, meaning he deliberately attempted to build a fake Z/28 ? He got called out on that too and bat removed the Z/28 from the description. Seller said he had them do that so as not to upset the purists. Yeah, right. He got caught trying to pass off a fake as real.

I think I'd be afraid to buy a 69 Z28 these days.

Been that way for 20+ years. Seems we have been saying there are at LEAST twice as many "real" 1969 Z/28's now than were actually made.

Exactly, most now have 454 on the fenders...what a joke. It MAY have a 454 now, but it damn sure isn't the engine most of those cars had from the factory.
And SS Chevrolet's in general.

----LOL! Back in the 70's it was almost more prevalent around northern Ohio to change 454 emblems to 396 so you could get a race.....Bill S

When I bought my '70 LS5 car in '73, you could count the 454 cars on 1 hand roaming the streets around the Twin Cities. There were about the same number that had been driven home from the dealer and race prepped, running only on the tracks. Quite rare to see a 454 '70 Chevelle around here.
