Scammer might be a strong word. Opportunist for sure. Especially when the internet is so vast a simple google will lead to sites like this or CRG.

Gee, I've never charged to help with a broadcast sheet....
He missed some important details but was at least in the ballpark.
Never mentioned the axle date - 3.31 would be unusual in a Z.

He couldn't find a rear brake pressure regulator valve. Not supposed to be one on an early Norwood car if I remember correctly. So, he is not as knowledgeable as he thinks he is. My early Z does not have one, but my July built car does.
No bowl vent on the Z/28 carb.

And he didn't bother to date the DZ carb or the rear axle as Kurt mentioned. But I guess all in all he seems to be pretty much in the know. He kept mentioning how things could be looked up on the internet and I think we all know he's spent a lot of time on CRG!

I didn't get past this exaggerated statement.
"Discover the unparalleled rarity of the 1969 Camaro Z/28"
Guess he's never heard of the '67 Z quantity.

I think it's the early Norwood cars that didn't have them. Started mid-year, late January.

Wow, tough crowd here. Parker is trying to build a YouTube channel. I like his videos. He reports on many different types of cars but seems to gravitate towards first gen Camaros. He seems to be about 99% accurate with the info he provides. Needs to polish his delivery a bit but he is getting better. Nice to see a younger guy interested in first gens. I think his channel and parting/flipping are his main job. Why would you call him a clown? Or a scammer? You want to see real clowns, check the Facebook first gen forums.

I have watched a few of his videos and generally liked them. He did, however, cover the Grumpy's Toy IV '68 Camaro at the Nationals in one of his videos and represented it as real...or at least he allowed the owner to represent it as real, without interruption or correction. My understanding is that car is a well-known fake.

I agree, there are a LOT of clowns on fb. BUT, it doesn't diminish the fact that he is stating incorrect information as though it is fact in his vids. Millions of people will see those and believe what he says as fact and start repeating it. There is waaaay too much misinformation already on the web, to the point that many people have no idea WHAT to believe anymore. I have nothing against him and he does come across as a decent person. If he wants to build a reputation as a credible source of information, he NEEDS to know the facts and stick to them, not spew his observations and conjecture as facts.

I was giving this Parker guy the benefit of the doubt that he was truly trying to learn to do the right thing with his YouTube channel on these classics but after watching a few videos I'm in the, Yep "he's a clown/scammer" camp now!
A viewer asks "Why did you skip over the cowl tag?...Did I miss something?...or is the cowl tag missing? Parkers response "Trim tag wasn't on the car and its hard to explain what isn't there... Most of the time you find a Camaro in the wild, cowl tag is gone... Also.. fuel lines have been removed due to the car being raced.. I tried to provide real world knowledge that I use in a junkyard daily to figure out what cars are.." Then he says "This car didn’t have one like most project Camaros, and you can fake/get remade to anything you want for 200$" :rolleyes2: Then one of the viewers says "Fake tags are illegal. Most experts can spot a fake tag . Without original drive train and paperwork its just a 69 Camaro"
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jZzRqNmBpJI
Some of his Yenko youtube stuff appears to be AI generated and has a bunch of mistakes.
On one he states Don Yenko died in 1982 (he died in 1987).
One funny mistake states a 1967 Yenko option was a NHRA approved wind shield
(they mean NHRA approved scatter shield)
A lot of mistakes on the 1967 Yenkos.
Youtubers like him & the Donut inspector push facts aside & slant everything to be in their favor,as well as the car owners favor. And,who 9 times out of 10,are the ones that called them over to video their vehicle in the first place and then calling them their "Barn Finds".
Plus they lift information that was researched extensively & painstakenly by so many others over the last 50 years, then report it as if they did the leg work. I would guess 3/4 of their research comes from this great website,& CRG.org,and almost always repeated in verbatim, typos and all.
And if they mistakenly report something incorrect, refuse to own up to it.
...it's all about their false sense of notoriety & making click bait videos.

Guys, I get it, but I really think he is trying his best to be accurate and is on a learning curve. Whenever I see "scam" I think how does this get monetized. I'm not seeing it with Parker. Plus, he covers all classics, not just first gens. Nobody can know everything. A couple of months ago I heard Dennis Collins say, on a Coffee Walk vid, that X77 came from Van Nuys and X33's came from Norwood...

This is the part that he wrote in his video comments that bothered me!
"This car didn’t have one like most project Camaros, and you can fake/get remade to anything you want for 200$"
Then if you watch his videos, he says several times if anyone is interested in purchasing any of the cars that you see to contact him, and he gives his contact info. So, I took it that he is trying to make money off of a car that he has deemed as a 69 Z/28 that has no trim tag but is willing to either buy a fake trim tag or suggests that the new owner can. That's monetizing to me.
I can appreciate a young man trying to carry on the hobby and I'm not trying to just totally beat the guy up, but this all comes from his own YouTube channel along with many incorrect facts. He even states in one of the videos I watched that they only made 12,000 69 Z/28's and someone corrected him in the comments. Then he was decoding a 69 and a 70 Chevelle and said that because the VIN starts with 136 that it proves they were only malibu's, only 138 would be a SS. And someone corrected him in the comments on that also.
He just needs to get off his channel and go do a lot of research and come back because most of the comments on there are from people praising his knowledge and input as gospel.

No bashing here. I already said in my previous post that he is spreading untruths and misinformation and there is already too much of that on the www. If he truly is attempting to profit from the sale of the cars he videos, he may well find out he needs a license to do that and run afoul of laws.

I don't think he is a scammer. He a social media hyped newbie. He lost me when he stated that the two marks in the Z28 trunk indicate the two stripes on car. His audience is not geared for true enthusiasts just an opportunist looking for clicks. I recall him at Camaro Nationals and his team member mentioned he was hoping to get a TV show ....
