Rusted Tires (Rusty Small) has been a longtime sponsor/supported of the site. I met up with Rusty at MCACN and he has increased his product line of available tires. He is super guy to deal with so give him a call 816-654-3400

What's everyone doing with these repro bias plys when they get 6 or 7 years old? I've never had vintage bias plys delam or do crazy stuff like modern radials. Never researched as to just why new rubber does this, but even vintage radials seem to last forever.

Keep rolling with them!!
As for why the modern rubber goes away… no specific answer, but there are more synthetic materials used and less true rubber…. Longer mileage, less rolling resistance, better fuel mileage…

Just read the sidewall for country of origin and it tells the story. Most tires are outsourced to china and all the rubber products I have had from there deteriorate very quickly, even sitting in a climate controlled building.
Many products produced in this country are still made using chinesium products.
