08/14 McJerry Report notes Restamp Engine + Replacement Trans but no mention of Tag Originality?
Also interesting, note customer name on the report is the United States Marshall Service.

JM has weighed in "The trim tag has been off the car and it has non-OEM rivets on the trim tag now". Still no mention of a repop.

Interesting. Jerry is making comments on BaT.
More information on this car from my data base. Car was auctioned off in 2014 by the US Marshall Service as it was confiscated in a drug related case. The trim tag has been off the car and it has non-OEM rivets on the trim tag now. Steve Druek of D&R Classics found this car on the streets of Chicago many years ago. The car sold for $314,000.00 at the auction. When Steve found the car there was no drive train in the car except for the rear axle. So, the engine and trans in this car are in no way original to the car. My company, Camaro Hi-Performance was hired by the US Marshall Service to do the inspection on several vehicles that were confiscated in the bust. And the rest is history.
In looking at the cowl tag on this car, I believe that is a repop tag.
I remember when Steve found that,Man was that some kinda find here.

Yeah I'm sure that was a big deal. How was he able to verify it was a Yenko?
(Disclaimer I buy from D&R and have good regard for them).

The verified Yenko VIN and BE rearend are a darn good start….. I don’t think this car is at all in question in regards to authenticity.

"Steve Druek of D&R Classics found this car on the streets of Chicago many years ago."
Did he have that car on display years ago at his store in Warrenville IL?
