question - is this over priced or not really something someone wants for their collection?

i alway thought it as cool - but maybe not worth a few $$

what do u think?

Ed, IMO....it's a cool item that would be desirable to attendees of that event, but given the condition, it's over priced. I attended the Car Craft Street Machine Nats every year 78 thru 82 and had a whole bunch of the freebie goodies they handed out. Before moving to AZ in 2007, I sold almost all of it on eBay (back in the good old days when they weren't so greedy) and got way more than I expected to. Suggestion - look at completed auctions on eBay and see what similar items have sold for.

Where was it held in '82? I went several times in the '80s when it was at Du Quoin IL. but I don't remember what years I was there.

Where was it held in '82?

Illinois State fairgrounds in Springfield IL. That was the first year that it was NOT held in Indianapolis.

EDIT: I just remembered that I won a Doug Nash 5 speed transmission at the 1982 Car Craft Nats!
