Nice looking car, not an expert on LA deck stamps - any thoughts on originality?
Also - I was not expecting to see subframe connectors on an otherwise stock appearing car.

The fender SS emblems on the passenger fender are killing me.

The front grill emblem is only slightly better. My guess is this car has been fluffed at some point or had repairs that involved the ss emblems. As for the frame connectors....perhaps it was raced at some point, different motor...and that might explain the non original tranny...or :confused2:
Pretty nice looking car...but, you would need to make a real inspection and ask some questions.

Gold paint is clearly visible on the edges of the VIN tag, so the original paint claim in the auction appears to be bogus. Bumble bee stripe is not painted correctly either. And the grill blackout is missing around the outer perimeter isn't it? Is the tape line on the rear panel blackout correct for a LOS car?
That engine stamp looks pretty bad to me. Both the Tonawanda stamp and the assembly plant stamp. Looks like the work of a couple Northern Tool die sets.
Also has the wrong intake. And should not have engine lift hooks. And dipstick and tube are the long replacement set from the 80's.
Pretty car, but does not seem to be all it is being claimed to be.

I agree with Jeff plus I have not seen an LOS car blacked out in the trunk jamb in that manner by the factory. Yes, the black is missing around the perimeter of the grille too.

Yeah, the vin stamp on the block looks like a kindergartner did it with dull stamps.
Thrown together with little thought for quality or accuracy and plenty of aftermarket parts. Even the left window crank flew off after they closed the open door pics. Lots of crap in the trunk, crimp butt connectors, wires laying on the left floor instead of hung and trunk lock is a repro. The blade is way too long and the filler tube guard is missing.
The recovered seats are very poorly assembled too. No way should there be a huge gap to the metal back panel like they have.
But then it IS in Vegas. Looks like a poor gamble to me.

The more I look at these pictures, the more I see....
Agree that the deck stamp looks pretty hastily done, but I don't have any comparable dates to examine.

396 flags are too high on the fenders.

I wonder how they got the orig. paint back on that 69 or repo deck lid. Many wrong parts

The car has lots of issues. But it's one of the first 396 cars.
