69 Chevelle SS396 300 Deluxe Coupe 'Post Sedan'

SOLD!! 1969 Chevelle SS396 300 Deluxe coupe (‘Post Sedan’). Only year that the SS396 was available on this entry-level Chevelle model; roughly 1400 made in 1969 model year, less than 100 still known to exist. Cortez silver with medium blue cloth & vinyl interior. 325hp 396, M20 4 speed transmission, 3.55 rear axle. 74,400 miles. Sold new at Rudolph Chevrolet in El Paso, TX and has obviously spent its life in a rust-free environment as the entire undercarriage is pit-free. Original ‘born-with’ engine, replacement M20 transmission from a different 69 Chevelle, original rear axle which came with an open differential but now has Positraction. Car was restored in the late 1980s and was sold at the Barrett-Jackson Scottsdale auction in 1990. Still shows very well but has a few small paint chips after 30+ years. Runs and drives very well. Completely stock including smog pump & lines, Muncie shifter, and single snorkel closed element air cleaner (which is frequently discarded in favor of the incorrect open element unit). Has decent condition OEM blue vinyl coated rubber flooring, which is not reproduced and rarely seen. I have a listing of part numbers and date codes for most all major components on the car. My own opinion, this car is a steal at this price……especially in the current market. Definitely a great investment for someone.

New owner frequents this site but rarely, if ever, posts. No, the new owner took it to the Pavilions. I took it there once in 9 years of ownership, he had it there before 9 hours of ownership!
