I’ve heard 2nd hand stories of this particular car & have even seen these EXACT vintage photos validating it’s existence. It’s a really rare bird, probably being a one-of-one, and we’re fortunate that it might have survived.

Sounds like a cool car....

I'm no FI expert...so tell me what is the big round gizmo on the driver's side of the engine...some kind of air cleaner?

Yes that is the air cleaner. I can tell it isn't the 283 horse version because the air intake tube drops down along the core support and on the 283 version the air intake tube ran to a sheet metal intake scoop on top of the core support. Still a cool car though.

Just awesome!!!

Those pics are so remindful of pulling up to Dave Tinnell's (RIP) shop in KY. There was a silver Yenko Deuce sitting outside looking somewhat forlorn. Carl Dwiggins kept Dave's shop pretty full at the time.

Actually this 150 is something Dwiggins would have happily put in the que for Dave.

My neighbor has a '57 FI 2 door hard top sitting in his back yard. Been there a long time.

The buyer of my 68 hemi GTX vert has an original tri five fuel wagon. Original - not a restored car.

I looked at an original paint, Black 1957 Fuel Injected Nomad back 25+ years ago in Ohio. I remember the guy selling it had 3 different phone number, (1 ended in 1955, another in 1956 and a final in 1957) we were about $10,000 apart and I passed, what a FOOL! I have a picture around here some where, When I find it I will post it. Bill

----Back in the early 80's I was in Louisville to look at several cars for Classic Motors that our buyer had lined up. We went from the airport to his house and in the driveway wa a 57 2-door fuel injected wagon. It was a lower level model, but I can't remember which. We drove it around all day. He wouldn't sell that one as it had less than 10,000 miles. I do remember that it was a 283HP 3-speed. Can't remember if it had overdrive. The story he told me was that a guy that ran a race team ordered it so he could get stuff to the races (tools, jacks. etc.) I pestered him for months to sell it to me, but he never even came up with a price, which was unusual for him. He's passed and I have no idea where it went.

My 57 used to belong to Carl.

If you remember his name, you could put our resident sleuth, Pete, on the trail to find relatives and maybe the car ? Sometimes I wonder if that guy is PI...

This Chevrolet is so cool.

The year, model, color and who it was intended for.
The perfect patina takes it over the top.
