Custom Rebuilt Carburetors was founded 40 years ago. I know firsthand that Phil and his team are perfectionist in carburetor restoration and rebuilding, with exacting results. He is well respected, and I've used his services for years with outstanding results.
Please give Phil Cancilla/ Custom Carburetors a warm welcome as a sponsor.

What a great sponsor to our forum. Phil is one of the best in the business and done a few Holley's for me. Best customer service and will also do show restorations.
Went to him on a Saturday to drop off a poorly running Holley and he dropped what he was doing to problem check my carb on his machines while I was there.
Highly recommend.

Phil is THE best in the business. Everyone else that is restoring carburetors these days learned from Phil.
Wow, I just sent my carb off to Phil on Monday. It's a Holley from my '67 Corvette 427/390. I've used Phil many times over the years.
Thank you for your sponsorship, Phil.

Phil and his team recently restored my 65 GTO tripower carbs. They look beautiful and the car performs much much better. I always go to Phil!

I called Custom Carburetor regarding street rebuild of my 4053 carb. I spoke with Joe and he asked me a few questions and I sent it. Within 3 weeks I received my carb back. I installed the carb and it ran great out of the box. This was their basic rebuild, not a concours restoration. Quick service and fantastic to deal with!!!

Mine leaked all over my newly painted Intake. The float bowls weren't mine, I asked for all of my own parts to be used, and I was assured they would be. For almost $500 , I was hoping for at least very good.

I find that story a little hard to digest. Most all reputable builders test their carbs, Phil being one of them.

I think there is more to this story. Seems very unlikely that this leaked as stated. First post is very odd especially since I just spoke to Phil and he would be more than happy to resolve this issue. He has never been contacted about this issue and has asked you contact him directly. BTW float leakage is primarily caused by fuel pumps putting out 8+ lbs of pressure so it could be on your side.

I appreciate everyone's replies. Fuel pump replaced 5 years ago, tested perfect recently.
I went by all the great things said, and like I said before, I had different luck. Not looking to hurt someone's business. I'm just telling the guys looking to rebuild their old carb , like myslelf, that perfection is not guaranteed. There really isn't more to the story. The carb failed. Different parts were used upon assembly when my own parts were guaranteed. Opportunity was given to straighten things out. My missing parts were never given back. I had to fix the leaks myself by ordering new parts. These are the facts. It's not the same story as everyone else. I really wish it was, to the point it was expected ! This was to help the shop and the consumer, not hurt. All my friends use him. I didn't even tell them because I'm not looking for them to change course.

Just got back from another trip to see the best carb man in the business Phil. Took my very sick Holley 3245 for a nice restoration. Again, Phil put it on the machine to check how it functions with me watching. Highly recommend this company.

Follow up. Just a few pictures of the 3245 after carb Dr Phil worked his magic with a street show rebuild. This place is the best. I highly recommend this place for all your carburetor needs and he has a complete inventory if you're looking for dated or non-dated carbs for your application. True Blessing to have this guy in our Hobby.

Per Eric Jackson on his Vintage Muscle Car Parts Facebook site, Phil's shop was very badly damaged in the hurricane. Eric has been in contact with Phil and he and his family are ok. He said he would rebuild. Prayers to Phil and his family.

Does he work on qjets ?
I’m sorry to hear that Phil’s shop was damaged. I hope you are up and running soon.
Phil has done multiple carbs for me, thank you, Phil.
Hoping Phil is soon able to get his business back up & running again.

I don't believe it is Phil's shop that got damaged. Rather it was Drew Pojedinic's from Air Fuel and Spark. Phil's shop did get damaged years ago in another hurricane, as I understand it.
I would hate to see anyone not send work to Phil, on the misunderstanding that somehow he was not able to provide his services.

My mistake. That's what happens when I try and read Facebook on my phone and not my computer. Thanks for the clarification and sorry about the mixup.

Does he work on qjets ?
Absolutely, and sells them as well. I had him do a qjet on my RAIV. Came back like new and car never ran better.

Rick;
The shop I mentioned recently is my friend Drew who runs Air Fuel Spark, he specializes in Ford Holleys. He's in Georgia and got hit by the hurricane.
The incident with Phil was from Katrina years ago.
