Just missed hitting the buy it now by a minute or so. Do you think this is real or a scam? For 26K! Nice car!

Has to be a scam, sold at Mecum in 2019 for $43k. I'd say you dodged a bullet.

Listing is gone, must have been a scam.

Wonder how much protection eBay would offer in that situation?

Re-posted for sale again, when I called and said I was local only three hours away from their location I suddenly got disconnected. Here is their site

ac-autos.com

Check them out and let me know what you think, a scam website?

Imagine that.

Probably should report it to ebay.

They have a great deal on a 70 Chevelle LS6 convertible. :)

I guess they blocked my cell number as I wanted to come look at the car.

Report it to the police local to the number and/or location. Doubt the location is valid either...

Same thing happened to me I called and didn't get an answer but they called me back. I told him I had a friend 10 miles away and he was going to come look at the car for me. He then told me I had to give him my friends number and they would call him and set up an appointment, I proceeded by calling him a scammer and he promptly called me names I haven't heard for years and hung up on me. I have reported a number of these scammers to Ebay and Facebook but honestly I don't think they have ever pulled a one of them.

How do they plan on making money with what they are doing, want you to place a non-refundable deposit on a car that doesn't exist or that they don't have?

The ebay ad said cash or money order on pickup or they can deliver for 80 cents per mile.

I think they are expecting that at such a bargain price someone will make a deposit and then they will toss their burner phone and you will never hear from them again. Who knows where they are really located, the person I talked to had an Indian accent. The web sites are full of them and they are even frequenting this site. Twice I have run want ads here for parts and I have had them contact me with the part but it didn't take long to figure out they were just another scammer and didn't have a clue what the part was.

Same guy I talked to, had an accent, I bet you they are somewhere overseas...
