I currently have on eBay a pair of rear bumper guards. They are in excellent original condition, with very nice unpitted chrome and perfect rubber inserts. If you have a pristine, 1000 point show car you would probably want to have these rechromed, but for anything lesser, these would be fine as they are. I am 95% certain these are for a 1970 – 72 Chevrolet Monte Carlo, but judge for yourself. When I bought them 20+ years ago, I was told that they were for a 69 Chevelle. I had a 69 Chevelle at the time and some time after the purchase, I tried fitting these up to the rear bumper, and they just did not have the same profile. I then put them in clean, dry storage and essentially forgot about them. After a helpful suggestion from a fellow vintage car enthusiast here on sYc, I have now looked at pictures of the rear of a first gen Monte Carlo with rear bumper guards, and these look exactly the same. They are stamped ‘R’ and ‘L’ on the upper mounting brackets on the rear, for right and left side. These are being offered with a $9.99 minimum bid and NO RESERVE.
