I thought I would share on this site I frequent alot for so many good reasons, helping me with knowledge on my first gen camaros.
Here is my 70 cuda convert, 340 4 spd, 1 of 88 made. I always wanted one since dreaming I had one while I gazed out the window in high school. My friends that are paint reps for high end paints, did it for me, its not even cut and buffed yet!!!!!. These new water based paints are amazing. I only know how to paint laquer which shows my age ;)
I can only paste the link and don't know how to make the pictures appear. Thought some would enjoy a great car with a great color (B5 blue is so close to the color on my 68 camaro actually).
this car was wearing 2 shades of silver paint in the barn finds I think 8-10 years ago at MCACN (car just came out of a barn in Nebraska). I drove it with its L60 Gillette white letter polyglass tires to the show and it actually snowed some when there. no heat. scary ride, had my man card in my wallet. Yes I live close enough but it likely was not wise to do. wiper worked marginally.

Hope to get car back together soon, likely will miss this year. Here are pics right after I brought it home from MCACN barn finds, and started to take it apart. It’s always fun to see how a cuda just swallows an L60 vs a Chevy :) (Sorry I just had to say that!)

Did you choose the leave the hood pins off? They were part of the cuda package in at least 1970.....Joe

I suspect you're gonna love that 340/4 speed combo. Back in the day I had a 69 Dart Swinger with that drivetrain combo and it was a whole lotta fun.

Hi Joe, yes, those have to be drilled, I could not get the hood in stock with them drilled when I got the hood from a local distributor (saved shipping). Car also has a factory elastomeric bumper that is going back on. Was not a shaker car. Only one 340 convert was made with one. Glad your panther pink one worked out that came from my area worked out! That car was tempting!

Hi Bill, I am totally expecting alot of fun with the car! 69 swinger darts I am recently informed on from a friend that has his dads car that is like the one you had. I learned from him, looking at the car, it was well reinforced, torque boxes, etc, and had desireable X heads. thanks!

Cuda 4 spd converts are pretty much the big dog of Moparland.
Congrats.
Only Challenger I ever owned and a plain Jane 14,000 mile hardtop.
It did not even have a rallye dash.
I added the rallye wheels and you are looking at its factory paint.
Much more common than your car.
It did have 3 good options though.
426, 4spd and 3.54 Dana 60.

daveg,
My neighbor, Norb S., from south eastern MN had a yellow Hemi 4 speed 70 Challenger in the early 90's. I remember seeing it when I was about 12 years old and it looked like a nice car but I'm pretty sure he had it restored. Could it be your car?

Yes that was my car.
I sold it to Fred Englehardt late August 1989 and he sold it to Bruce G the next day.
Norb was one of Bruces buddies.
Heard it got a shaker and black interior.
Someone added the radio prior to me having it so I left it. Besides it had a antenna hole added to the fender.
Very plain car but it was clean.
Trunk floor was scratched up a bit but still shiny yellow.
I actually liked the brown interior. Seats were mint.
Build sheet out of the right bucket was perfect.
FWIW Fred also bought my B5 blue- white top- interior 70 Hemi 4 spd Cuda 1n 1990 and the black 1969 Boss 429 Mustang in 2005. Before his jail time.
Bought land with money from all.
Back yard went from 80 acres to 510 acres.
NO REGRETS on that.

It very well could have been Bruce's car and not Norb's. Bruce worked for Norb and they both had awesome Mopars. I saw a lot of amazing Mopars growing up, living close to Norb and Fred.
Smart move turning those cars into land!!
