View Full Version : Temporarily lock a thread?

Is it possible to lock a new thread from other users adding to it until the other is finished adding all the content. I would like to start a thread that will take several days or weeks to add all the content and I feel it would be cleaner if I could post everything prior to any comments being added. Once all the content is added in then unlock it to the group.
Thanks,
Marty

And, how do some authors post a photo add wording, post a photo add wording, repeat, repeat, etc?
Thanks,
Marty

To add wording between photos, you need a third party host. I was always able to do that with photobucket, but by adding the photos directly from my computer, that doesn't work.

lol. Unfortunately that is not the case. Plus, you’d know by now if I did find something amazing. In light of Joel Rosen’s passing and his personal collection up for sale, I thought I would share my Baldwin Motion collection. I would like to post about 50 photos in a row without interruption. But, I would also like to be able to put a description with each photo. The more I thought about it the more I realized it doesn’t matter if the group chimes in during the photo dump. It will all be fine in the end.
Cheers,
Marty

Thanks. I’m not going to use any 3rd party host. I find it too easy to post photos here that I don’t want to change things up.
Thanks for the reply.

Yes, it’s buried in the Baldwin-Motion Performance Forums.
Hopefully this link makes it easier for you to find.

Please let me know what you think.

One of the things that I do is write it all up off line (in a word processor, or even a draft email) and then slam it into the forum when everything is ready.
Example:
https://forums.maxperformanceinc.com/forums/showthread.php?t=560524
You can see I was able to get the first 16 posts in there before any one else commented.
