Members had issues when he was a sponsor on the site initially, but after speaking with him, he had no more issues complaints. Keep on him and he will come through...

Thank you for the quick turn around on my horn, Gary. Also, thank you for the wooden Iphone holder that turns your phone into an analog clock. I love it

I agree and you shouldn't have to.

Gary your business is a perfect example of superior customer service. We all appreciate all you do for our hobby and members.

I too, unfortunately , have had issues getting my stuff from Rich.
I always eventually got the stuff, but constant texts and calls.
It became such a hassle I vowed “no more”.

I, too, also have delays in getting hardware from Rich.. like what others have said. After hearing multiple excuses and after multiple weeks of texting, I do eventually receive the hardware though...Good luck!

Same experience here....

I have had the opposite experience with Rich. Been purchasing small items almost monthly over last 3 years with immediate responses from him. I usually pay with P.P. same day. In some cases my parts have been delayed but never more than a couple weeks. I’m guessing he tends to make his shipping runs on certain days but because his shipping prices have been so reasonable I’ve just waited. Not saying he doesn’t have issues just has not been my experience….

Took a couple months to get some starter bolts but he got it - I just bugged him constantly.

I also am having that experience - been waiting nearly 6 months for a few complete kits of hardware. I am starting to get worried - but glad to hear they always come eventually.

It was a large outlay of cash up front which I’d be reticent to do again.

I have purchased many things from Rich, each takes longer and longer. He just shipped some things to me this week that I paid for about 7 weeks ago. I kind of go into it knowing that I will be bugging him to ship - it eventually comes.

I have no skin in this game, and not sure if that guy Rich visits the site, but maybe someone should give him a heads up that people are starting to get a little leery of his services. See if he can square it away just a thought.

I dint know much about this person or even his service. But reading this I can’t help but think what’s your time worth? What’s the headache worth? Maybe it’s the only place or maybe it’s the best of the best IDK but there got to be some motivating factor for people. To deal
W this situation that they seem worth it. Curious what it is?

He has time to post several items daily

I should clarify that I was not bashing- he has been extremely polite in interactions and is putting together a long list of correct fasteners for me that would have been extremely time consuming to source and/or plate and or restore myself. I can certainly understand that takes time.

It’s just the “a few more weeks” then a “few more weeks” that’s making it hard… then many months have gone by when the parts are needed for the restoration to keep progressing. Just knowing it would be 20+ weeks to get them would have been helpful up front for planning purposes.

There was a question on why we chose to purchase… In my case it was by recommendation of some members here, hard to find stuff in a “one stop shop” that you know will be correct for the car.

Rich's username was Enoch. He was given an opportunity to respond/share his side, but chose not to.

This is a members car he was restoring:

Here is the member post regarding his missing car:
(It was a very long thread with many members posts, but only SamLBI's initial post is shown now.)

OMG!!

I still see him posting on FB, a lot... a few times even today...

What's the rest of the story on Sam's missing car?... Can't believe I missed that thread.

I have to say this is concerning to say the least... GAH!

I have him as a friend on my car-parts FB profile even...

Holly smokes!! Now I have to know what happened to the car.

Agreed Rick is a pia to get things from, I waited over a year for orders. I did get them after threatening at this point I would go with out rather than deal with it.

I know SamLBI received an insurance payout for the missing car. Our sponsor MK insurance / American Modern took care of SAM, and they were pursuing it further with restorer.

Sadly, he has always been this way. My 72 T/A spent 4 years in body shop prison at his shop. That was the main reason I refused to get any other projects painted for years after that. Life is too short for that kind of stress.

https://www.yenko.net/forum/showthread.php?t=79126

P.S. I just found these photos in my archives. I don't know if it's SamLBI's lost Z/28 body sideways on a stand in the corner. Or it could be Jeff H's JL8? The date of these photos files was 01/14/2008 but that could be when I resaved them. (I saw in his post some photos dated 2005)

Is SamLBI still around? He hasn't posted since 8/6/2022. He mentioned having health problems in his post about the car. https://www.yenko.net/forum/showthread.php?t=178257 I'd be happy to send him whatever photos I have or forward them to whomever was investigating the case.

He has his own group on FB where he sells many of his parts:

I have to say I've never done business with this gentleman but based on the several posts on this forum over the years about him, no thanks. I do occasionally use his FB posts to ID some of the bagged fasteners I got with my car.

Rich and I spoke at the time and we mutually agreed he should no longer be a member. He was asked to provide his side and has chosen not and has moved on.

I did ask Rich,(enoch) about this incident after I noticed him on Fbook awhile ago.(Please don't ask me to talk to Rich today,or follow up on anything as I haven't been in touch with him since.I'm only sharing here what he told me back then..period.)
Here is what he told me:"Hi Rick, sure that was dealt with many years ago.The shell of that car was beyond repair and it's just when dynacorn was beginning to reproduce them.I advised the customer that he needed to get one to continue. He became sick and was injured and several years past. Then at that point we again tried to move forward. There was delays on both sides scheduling and needing the replacement shell. The customer chose not to move forward & claimed it a total loss with his insurance company, and was then paid in full by them.At which point we sent photo documents of all the parts for the car to the insurance company (several years ago) ****which we still have in our possession to this day.**** THEY WERE NEVER sold ... And we asked the insurance company to come get the parts several times. The said they would, but never did. There's much more to it than that. But that's all that needs to be said.As we never sold parts from his or any other car.And we haven't worked on cars in over 10 years. As my knees and back gave out and that's why I sell just parts today, but I do drive all over the country to look for more parts today. Thanks for asking,I appreciate it."

I had trouble after paying for parts and not getting them. I kept pushing him thru emails and finally the parts showed up.
