If this were in my area I'd just buy it and figure out what to do with it later...evidently one of a handful of V-code L77 455/4-sp 442s in '73.

Ya gotta love that they were at least trying on the high performance side. By then, Dr. Olds was on life support. But, this is one of those instances where "rare" does not necessarily mean "desirable". For me, this is the year that most of the GM stylists just took a dump on most models, especially the A bodies. I know some folks like the 73 A bodies. Just not for me.

Maybe worth saving if you had the original power train. Without it, you would be upside down before you had it in primer.

I remember driving to Nortel Olds in Chicago during lunch my senior year of high school in 1973 to look at the new Cutlass. The dealership had moved to the corner of Waukegan and Dempster in Niles by that time. We had a 1972 442 as a family car and I was disappointed in the new look. I eventually got used to it, but the 70-72 style is still my favorite.

Listing says 1 of 95 built. Can't be more than a handful left.
