Just picked this up. Gotta love machine shops. Larry
Doesn't look like the machinist had any alpha characters. Pretty sure that "Z" was created using the "7" stamp twice.
Pretty funny.

I haven't torn it apart yet. The block and the heads all match date wise for a late Jan build. It does have the correct crank in it looking at the shape of the end of it. Haven't looked for a vin yet. Larry
Would not be surprised to find out it did start life as a DZ motor.
Cast date?
Interesting to see what the VIN is if it is legible.

The block is K278 and the heads are A179 and A229. Larry
