Hi Friends, another rare wheel available here.

A very hard to find K18 K-1-8 IF coded rim for the 1969 model year SS / COPO cars - IF 14X7 Camaro steel wheel.

This was the first year for 14X7 plain wheels standard dogdish type steel rims on our factory disc optioned supercars.

This one is nicely dated for early 1969 calendar year production - K18 "something" 17 - The month numeral stamp was presumably under the valve stem hole punch, and therefore not readable - and I suppose, you could call it for any of the late 1968 months of production; August September, October November or December - the 17th day, 1969 for 1969 69 Camaro models like SS396, SS350, and some 427 COPO cars too - maybe even some HiPo dealer cars too - Nova cars as well, I believe.

This wheel is in very original shape and is, in my opinion, a great candidate for a light restoration; no fatal flaws, but I try to disclose everything, see the last photos.

It has, I believe, been repainted and has a heavy coat of black paint on its face, I've pictured a couple close ups.

It was also marked years ago it seems as "drum" which we all know, is incorrect; this is a disc brake wheel. It has the correct dimples by the valve stem hole too, of course.

This is a California / CA wheel that has never been rusted / pitted or restored / filled or any major work done to it, look at those beads; they are perfect.

This is the wheel you want for your significant car.

I've attached many photos to give the whole story as to its condition.

IFs are not quite unicorns, but they are certainly uncommon anymore, especially the EARLY K18 ones - and in this condition; this is a perfect opportunity to return a nice factory wheel to the trunk of that significant 1969 Camaro, Nova too.

Even the Yenko / Gibb / Harrell and other tuner cars with steel dog dish rims. And of course, the unconverted cars too.

There are several theories WRT IF coded wheels, that they were Firebird or Los Angeles / LA / Van Nuys builds... but they are physically identical to XT rims, and this is a KH / K-H / Kelsey Hayes specimen, not an NT / Norris Technologies unit. Gran Prix cars too maybe?

Look at the photos again, this rim is nice. Cross posted on FB.

Thanks for looking, as always
