Anyone have any luck with cleaning the yellowing of a license plate lens?

Wonder if you could sand it , like to remove the yellowing from headlights & then polish it just like a headlamp…

I actually Like a Bit of factory lens tint to differentiate from modern molded lens's.
That said, I use a Meguire plastic polish and apply by hand or if feeling brave hit with a Dremel and cotton attachment.

I ran a 0000 steel wool across my lens then hit it with some polish took about half the yellowing out but tonight im going to try and soak in peroxide and see what happens.

Yea I just guessed they were supposed to be clear. I did soak mine (3) in high strength hydrogen peroxide and seem to pull most of the yellowing out of 2 of them.
I will try and post some pictures later

So I soaked mine in hydrogen peroxide I think like 12% that my wife bought from Home Depot for a week. Day 3 I pulled them out hit them with 0000 steel wool blew them off then back in the hydrogen peroxide for 4 more days and it pulled most of the discoloration out. I will still polish them then I will post another picture. I thought i took a before picture but I can’t find it !

Chevyman0429 , so you have just soaked yours in peroxide & haven’t polished it yet ? If so I think you have had some really good results..
