Someone on the Corvetteforum.com site has what they believe to be a genuine 1968 Baldwin Motion Corvette.

Thanks Bob I enjoyed that. Its kind of scary how easily such expert opinions can now spread. In the old days it used to be " I read it in a book " now it will be "it has to be true I read it on a web site "

Thanks for coming through with the details Bob. The owner of this car did not varify the car with Joel before making the purchase and I don't believe he scored any documentation as proof either.

He just went by the plaque on the dash and that the body mods seemed to be original. The car does have the numbers matching engine I believe.

Don't know if I believe it to be the real thing, but it sure is a nice looking Corvette. Maybe because it looks so similar to mine http://www.yenko.net/ubb/smilies/images/icons/smile.gif

Sheridan, it might be a Motion bonnet but thats a long way short of being a Motion car.
At the heart of the heavy hitter motions and not the cosmetic ones is the engine transplant. If its matching numbers it might be a Baldwin car with Motion body mods but that has got to fall way short of the dollars he is talking about. Whats a phase 1
any way (apart from a Falcon of course)
The flares are interesting. The factory released flares for tha FIA races with the first being in the 1969 year at Sebring etc.
At that time they were still not allowed to use them in A Prod racing in the US. After that most flares have that factory look. Prior to that they vary a lot. Not sure if there is a 1968 factory flare.
If Rosen had done a 1968 Vette I kind of think he would have had Marty round with the camera to put it on the cover of Hi-per or Speed & Supercar.
Dan the link did'nt work either so I typed the details in, it opened.
