Does anyone have information on any motion chevelles built in 66? The fact that the car has a 427 with all the 427 emblems on the car has me puzzled? Any help would be great.

I've got a CARS magazine from the late 60's showing a Motion 427 converted '67 Chevelle, and I'm sure at least one '66 was converted, as it was just a short block change on a 396 car. The emblems are the easy part, check the casting dates on the block and heads, and anything else that looks like its been on the car a long time. It should all be '66 or '67 stuff if it was done for the original owner. Otherwise its probably just another converted car done sometime in the last 35 years.

There was one 66 Chevelle 427 Motion conversion shown in a 1967 magazine article. It had mag wheels, 427 emblems, and the GM cowl air intake set-up.

Thanks for the info. Where could I find the article of this lone 66 that was a actual Motion conversion? Also what about the emblems they are exactly like the original ss 396 only they indicate 427 on the grille both fenders and rear of the car.
Did Motion use a 427 ss emblem on the conversion supercar.
