Well, I messed around and let myself get behind on the feature car page(s), which is bad, becauase actually had a couple lined up for a change! [Note:This work thing is really cutting into my hobby http://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grin.gif But, I finally got enough time here at work to sit down, so I figured while I was sitting, I had better get Dom's car up before the month is over! <p>So, here's my plan. I'm probably gonna let the March car run over into April a couple days, to make up for the time I shorted Dom's car. But don't worry, I already have an April car, and am nearly done with the page, so it can go up at in mere seconds.<p>So, sorry for the delay, but I think we are back on track now. Keep the pictures/info coming!

Looks great. I thought for a moment it was my car, but then seen the rear spoiler! Looks like a great restoration. Do I have a copy of the GM of Canada paperwork on this car Dom? What dealership sold this car?

Mr Gasser. Look on your GM of Canada micro film. After your paint code 72 72 there will be a five diget number (example 85782) That is your dealer #. What does yours read?

Not sure if Belmont is still around. Best bet would be to contct Frank Naples. His car was sold there and he did a pretty extensive search on his car and the history. I'll e-mail his # to you.

Belmont Chevrolet does not exist anymore. It use to be located just west of Jane Street on Lawerance Ave. here in Toronto. A very good friend of mind was the Sales Manager there before it closed.I knew the Dealership from the mid sixties and know that more Muscle cars were sold there including Copo cars than most people think. Alot of these cars are still around but as owners would be unaware unless they get a GM Document and some are in the U.S.A. and have been there for quite some time. I personally bought one of the first five 70 Chevelle LS6 cars that came to Canada and still have the vin to verify. This car is in Nova Scotia now and the owner doesn't know it was and LS6 because the car was sold in the early ninties with a 454 LS7 crate eng. in it. I have come across many cars were there owners were proud of them but didn't have a clue about how rare the car was. There is still alot of "Buried Treasure" here in Canada and every so often someone stumbles across " Copo Gold".

COPO PETE,
I have an Oshawa ,ON Canadian built '70 Chevelle Super Sport vin #1363701526209.

I did get GM of Canada's info from George Zapora ,on the SS.

The car was an export, to Arizona. The U.S.
Dealer code is 12049.

Would you happen to know the name and address of this particular dealer?

Mostly all the other numbers are options on your car. Makes the Canadian cars a dream come true to document!
