It is our old buddy Dennis Tuttle, with the 67 Camaro he bought at the Leake Kruse auction in January in Scottsdale.I had a email from a musclecar dealer in Oklahoma City last month where Dennis had written a $30,000 bad check (imagine that!)Mike has since went and got his car back.

I see he has added the RS Grill to the car. At Scottsdale it had a Standard grill. Anybody wanna bet that it has no actuators or other pieces to make them work ?

So did he have a new cowl tag made up so it appears to be an original RS? It looks like the cowl tag has body color paint over it, not the correct shade of black. Weren't the Yenko cars coded as 4P or 4K?

Yes, the orange clone looks just like the car. I had checked the serial number and it was not on the list, the bidding got up to the mid 50's when the auctioner finally listened to me and asked if there was any documentation and suprisingly there was none!!! Started bidding over and Dennis was the high bidder on this also, was on his site as a REAL 69 Yenko. Check earler topics on 3/10/2002 about Yenkos in Oklahoma.

The vin# on the 67 Camaro at Scottsdale was 124377N153413, and some how the former owner got the tag agent to add the word Yenko on the title. He knows me but if someone called him I bet the vin#s would match. It was Lot #786 at the Scottsdale Rawhide auction on Jan.11-13th.The auctioneer stated that there was no documentation with the vehicle, and the next week the real one went for $118,000 including juice.Wonder what he did with the 69 Yenko Clone he bought there and had on his website as real!!!

SuperNovaSS- Bless you !!!!Your hate is in the right place!!!!Think about how many people get screwed by guys like this and the jerk on ebay, Puremuscle1 and his five other names that bid on their own auctions and have the gonads to give themselves high feedbacks on both names with in hours of auctions end. I myself, while messing with big block Vettes for years have in the last few really turned on to these real muscle cars, and Thank the Great guys on this site who have helped me along with many of you with their knowlege and honesty. For some like Tuttle the love of a dollar is worth more than any respect from anyone, sad isn't it!!!So, if you gotta hate anybody, you picked one of the right ones.

If it was an orange clone, it is in the background of the picture that are posted on e-bay.

Hey Guys this is the car from Arizona. Notice the Plates. These are Arizona plates. You would think the plates would at least be changed by now.

It just makes me feel good to know that he is getting exposed for what he really is. I got the shaft from him and I hope that word spreads fast enough that others don't get the same treatment.

If the 67YENKO license plate on the ebay photo is from Arizona, then the VIN on the registration is 124377N153413.

Autoinsane, you may want to contact Ebay about this guy and maybe "copy" some of the earlier posts above as evidence that the seller is misrepresenting the car. This would be a better way of getting him banned from selling on Ebay. Emailing the high bidder could be looked upon by Ebay as disrupting the auction even if your (our) intentions are good on this site.......................RatPack................

This guy sounds like midwest version of the east coast guys that sell restamped cars with new trim tags installed...........................

About PureMuscle1...Maybe filing a report of Shill Bidding to Ebay Could have this seller suspended. It looks like he bids on his own auctions quite often. Check out this page <A HREF="http://pages.ebay.com/help/community/shillbidding.html#4

What happened to Pace Car Nutz? Dennis used to own it, and I drove out there to see a ZL1 that came from Cal, but when I got there, It was closed, and his personal phone was disconnected. Mabey it was better that I never got to see the ZL1.

According to the seller's website, you can call "Muscle Car Nutz" (http://www.musclecarnutz.com) at 918-271-4692 or 918-369-5551 to discuss the auction.

While we are on the subject of Dennis Tuttle.....how many people have actually taken by him that are members of this site? I have been to his shop on several occasions. I have been in both of the yenko clones he has up for sale. The 67 is extremely fast the engine has been modified to some extent. Acually, this site is what saved me from (seriously) considering the purcase of the cars.(thanks a lot) IF anyone has been to his shop they will now what i am talking about when i say this. THE GUY HAS A EXTREME AMOUNT OF UNIQUIE CARS(Mopar and Chevrolet). I have always been in amazement everytime i go out there. Yah you don't find the cars he has, just setting in someones back yard. I don't understand why the guy would ruin what could of been a good thing. I have purchased a total of 3 cars off of him. The first two are legit. this last one was supposed to be done over a year ago finally we had to go get it in peices. Its been a big mess. But if anyone knows him personally and can tell us why he is doing this to some of the wonderful cars that he has acquired. Other than being a scum bucket i would appreciate it.

Anyone else notice what he added to the end of the auction on the '67:

<BLOCKQUOTE><font size="1" face="">quote:</font><HR>**** PLEASE READ ****

This car was purchased at a Kruse International Auction, an Ebay subsidiary. They guaranteed it was what it was advertised as - 1967 Yenko Camaro. The item desription is mostly what was on the car description sheet from the auction. Also, the Arizona title clearly states Yenko Camaro. These facts are the basis of the description for this eBay auction. As many callers have pointed out, the price should be much higher if all the documetnation was there. All the documentation is not, that is why the price is where it is at.

Please do not bid if you are not comfortable owning the car knowing this information.

Thanks and good luck!<HR></BLOCKQUOTE>

Yeah, "good luck" is right! Good luck getting your money back when you get home and find out you got taken! Title says Yenko...nice touch. Remember people: just because the title AND the license plate say "YENKO", that doesn't mean that it necessarily IS a Yenko! Didn't we cover this in another thread recently... http://www.yenko.net/ubb/smilies/images/icons/crazy.gif

I was at the Auction when he bought it and they Announced that they couldn't Guarantee it to be a real Yenko but they were 99% sure it was real. When Tuttle was Bidding I said to him and his group that it wasn't real and he had better get a Guarantee. They didn't seem to concerned. I had no idea it was Tuttle at the time.

As for souperhigh's comment .....i totatlly understand what you mean now ...if only i would of 2 years ago when this mess all started. As for Ny dave this was a Mopar not a camaro pacer :-).....it is probably best he was closed.....the car you went to look at may be legit ....but its like trekking on thin ice, you have to be VERY careful with every step. also NY dave when were you out there? were all the cars out back and everything cleaned up and moved out? The door to the building is always locked. i would like to know because i need to go after the rest of the parts for the car that didn't get completed......any info would be appreciated

I talked to Dennis, back in OCT of 2001, when he told me he purchased 100 camaros from California, At the time I had a 69 T/A he was interested in, we were working out a deal for me to get a few Z-28's and the ZL1 that were in the collection. I got word from Dennis in feb of 2002, that the cars were comming in, and the motor from the ZL1 was there. I was down in Kansas City, looking at a car, So I figured I would make a visit to pace car nutz, only to find out the buissness was sold, Details to come. So I called him on his Cell, and I dont know who I got on the other end, but They were Rude, and knew Dennis, But told me outright, This is not Dennis's Phone! I have not talked to Dennis since, untill this auction on the Yenko?? I have talked to him this past week, and he still states he has the cars comming in, as far as the explaination as to why the buissness was closed, He told me the buissness was growing to fast, and he sold off the Pace car end of it, and now is concentrating on the Mopars, There is better money there. I think we are giving up on the ZL1 that he says he had.

Hi, New guy throwing in my two cents. Love the site, think you guys are great, Serious watch dogs of the world of GM muscle scams. Saw Charleys name and figured since he's got the 92 Pacer maybe I'm allowed 350/powerglide and all! I bought my car on EBay 2 years ago August (#78 1967 Indy Festival Car)and distinctly remember Tuttle bidding it up. I knew the car and had to have it. In the end he called to say he was the " King of all Pacecars" and had to have it. Pompus..yes..Successful no...
