Welcome Mako, watt is the option on the ca. BM
Welcome to the site. Do you have a Motion Maco built by Motion? They also sold mail order parts for home built cars. The car was based on the Mako Shark II show car. I notice that Motion changed the spelling. (Maybe to avoid problems from Chevy). Motion called it Maco with a "C" and Chevy used Mako with a "K" on their show cars. here is a magazine cover with a Maco. It is a wild looking car.

Hi All,
I'm restoring my 71 Corvette Motion Mako and always looking for info about these. Also, if anyone needs info about mine I'm glad to help. I'm looking for related Motion parts, if anyone has any. Anyone out there have one of these?
Thanks!
Hi BM71vega, thanks for the reply.
Not sure what you mean by ca?
Hi JoeC, thanks for the great pix of the Mako on the magazine cover. I did'nt notice the name difference. I have an old Motion catalog that shows the body parts for sale. I'll have to look at it and check out the spelling. Not sure who built mine. I'm not ready to shell out $1500. to Mr. Motion to find out. Wanted to do a little research myself first. Someone said there should be a id plate from Motion on the car if they built it. Anybody know anything about that? I have seen two others on the net and they both had the same side exhaust and the same deep dish slotted wheels.
There is a picture of mine on vetteweb.com in the showroom section. <A HREF="http://www.mcmullenargus.com/gallery/view.asp?image=20628&pub=05

In</A> case the link does not show here you can go to vetteweb. com and click on showroom and search by location and select maryland.
Thanks again for the help!

Sorry Mako i mean car, watt is the engine trans ect.
Hi BM71vega,
My Mako is a 350, 4 speed, posi rear. According to the vin it started life as a convertible. I talked to Mr. Motion and he said a lot of the Mako's (Maco's) he built were 350s and most of the Phase III corvettes were big blocks of course.
